Lahore, June 14, 2020: The Sindh High Court has ruled in favor of Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO) in the company’s case against government agencies over harassment. The decision comes in lieu of the recent fuel crisis and the alleged involvement of OMCs amongst which GO is included.
According to details, GO approached the Sindh High Court on June 12th, 2020 in view of the actions of various government agencies which were unjustified and amounted to harassment of its employees. The Sindh High Court ruled in GO’s favor based on the valid arguments they made. Therefore all government agencies cannot intimidate, harass, threaten or take any kind of coercive action against GO or its employees.
Commenting on the ruling, Zeeshan Tayyeb, Chief Operating Officer said, “Rest assured, GO always has and continues to comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the company.
