Pakistan – Karachi, March 31, 2022: Lucky Cement Limited and Reon Energy today announced a 34 MW captive solar power project with a 5.589 MWh Reflex energy storage. The project set to be installed at Lucky Cement’s Pezu plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will hold not only Pakistan’s largest on-site captive solar plant but also the largest ever energy storage solution.
The 34 MW solar PV project is expected to produce approximately 48 GWh (Gigawatt hours) annually. The output energy will be used on-site resulting in substantial savings for the company in cost of energy and will also cut around 29,569 Tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions annually.
Speaking of the project, Mr. Noman Hasan, Executive Director, Lucky Cement Limited Stated “Lucky Cement Limited has always ensured to introduce and adopt the latest technologies in line with its vision of promoting sustainable business practices. Lucky Cement Limited becomes the third such company in Pakistan to install Reflex energy storage. This will improve the reliability of the power system by absorbing the variations of the Solar Plant and improve the overall generation efficiency by shutting down 20 MW of fossil fuel generation during the daytime whilst keeping the critical spinning reserve intact. Furthermore, storage will build flexibility into the cement plant’s power system, and allow quick response in case of any power faults enabling 24/7 operations.

یہ پراجیکٹ خیبر پختونخواہ میں قائم لکی سیمنٹ کے پیزو پلانٹ میں نصب کیا جائے گا۔
اس پراجیکٹ کی تنصیب سے سالانہ 29569ٹن کاربن ڈائی آکسائیڈ کا اخراج کم ہوجائے گا
کراچی: لکی سیمنٹ نے 34میگاواٹ کیپٹو سولر پاور پراجیکٹ اور 5.58میگاواٹ ریفلیکس انرجی اسٹوریج کے پراجیکٹ کیلئے ریون انرجی کے ساتھ معاہدہ کیا ہے۔ یہ پراجیکٹ خیبر پختونخواہ میں قائم لکی سیمنٹ کے پیزو پلانٹ میں نصب کیا جائے گا۔ یہ پراجیکٹ نہ صرف پاکستان کا سب سے بڑا آن سائیڈکیپٹو سولر پلانٹ ہوگا بلکہ اب تک کا سب سے بڑا انرجی اسٹوریج سلوشن بھی ہوگا۔
34میگاواٹ کے سولر پی وی پراجیکٹ سے سالانہ48GWh کی پیداوار ہونے کی توقع ہے۔ آؤٹ پٹ انرجی کو سائیٹ پر استعمال کیا جائے گا جس کے نتیجے میں کمپنی کیلئے توانائی کی لاگت میں خاطرخواہ بچت ہوگی اور تقریباً سالانہ 29569ٹن کے مساوی کاربن ڈائی آکسائیڈ کے اخراج میں کمی آئے گی۔
اس موقع پر لکی سیمنٹ کے ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر نعمان حسن نے پراجیکٹ کے بارے میں بتاتے ہوئے کہاکہ لکی سیمنٹ نے ہمیشہ پائیدار کاروباری طریقوں کو فروغ دینے کیلئے اپنے وژن کے مطابق جدید ترین ٹیکنالوجیز متعارف اور اپنانے کو یقینی بنایاہے۔ اس اہم ڈیولپمنٹ سے نہ صرف ہمارے پلانٹ کی کارکردگی میں اضافہ ہوگا بلکہ یہ منصوبہ کاربن کے اخراج کو کم کرنے میں بھی معاون ثابت ہوگا۔ انہوں نے مزیدکہاکہ عالمی ماحولیاتی چیلنجز کو مدِّ نظر رکھتے ہوئے ایسی ٹیکنالوجیزمیں اور خاص طورپر صنعتی سطح پر سرمایہ کاری کرنا ضروری ہے۔ انڈسٹری لیڈر ہونے کے ناطے ماحولیات کے بارے میں ہم اپنی ذمہ داری کو سمجھتے ہیں اور اس طرح کی سرمایہ کاری کے ذریعے ایک پائیدار مستقبل کو یقینی بنانے کیلئے پُر عزم ہیں۔
لکی سیمنٹ پاکستان میں ریفلیکس انرجی اسٹوریج لگانے والی تیسری کمپنی ہے۔ یہ اسٹوریج سولر پلانٹ کی کمی بیشی کودور کرکے پاور سسٹم کی کارکردگی کو بہتر بنائے گا۔ اس کے علاوہ یہ اسٹوریج سیمنٹ پلانٹ کے پاور سسٹم میں سہولت پیداکرے گا اور ہفتے کے ساتوں دن 24گھنٹے آپریشنز کے دوران بجلی کے تعطل کی صورت میں فوری طور پر بطورمتبادل کام شروع کردے گا۔
کمپنی نے توانائی کی کھپت کو کم کرنے اور ماحولیاتی مسائل کو حل کرنے کے منصوبوں پرعمل درآمد کیلئے بڑے پیمانے پر سرمایہ کاری کی ہے۔ ان منصوبوں سے پیداواری استعداد کار میں اضافے کے ساتھ ساتھ کاربن کے اخراج میں نمایاں کمی آئی ہے
