High officials and energy experts discussed challenges in energy sector
Karachi (February 28, 2024) The first meeting of FPCCI Central Standing Committee on Energy 2024-2025 was held under the chairmanship of the convener of the committee, Malik Khuda Bakhsh.
The meeting was attended by business leaders and technocrats. Utilization of available resources, search for new resources and various suggestions were considered. Executive Director OGRA (Islamabad) Imran Akhtar, SSGC General Manager Kamran Nagi, General Manager Sindh Transmission Tariq Saeed, Chairman PPDA Abdul Sami Khan, General Manager Altas Group of Companies Munis Iqbal, Technical Advisor Hydro China Daud were present in the meeting. Power Limited Irfan Ahmed, Ayesha Adnan, Chairman Vista Shahid Zaki, Project Director Sindh Renewable Energy Mahfouz Qazi, Fuel Storage Energy Expert Waseem Qadri, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Afaq Ali Khan Benish Khan, Bilal Jabbar, Halima Khan, Nausheen Irfan, Zeeshan Nabi, Miss. Farheen, Irfan Ahmed, Shah Kamal and other personalities associated with other sectors participated.
Malik Khuda Bakhsh, convener of the Central Standing Committee on Energy, said in his welcome address that the Energy Committee under my leadership from the platform of FPCCI will be an effective government. and will give to the concerned institutions to overcome the problems faced in the energy sector in the country, I am confident that we will be able to make a meaningful contribution to the energy development that Pakistan needs.
Malik Khuda Bakhsh said that the Energy Committee will be an open forum for making recommendations, and we will take advantage of the vast experience and expertise of experts in relevant fields and evaluate their suggestions on the development of energy in Pakistan, How to work.
Chairman PPDA Abdul Sami Khan appreciated the efforts of Malik Khuda Bakhsh and said that under his leadership the Energy Committee will hold productive and purposeful meetings as experienced and knowledgeable members have been added to the Energy Committee.
Abdul Sami Khan gave important suggestions about the energy industry to improve the energy industry in Pakistan and said that I have worked for the improvement of the energy sector all my life and the aim of my struggle is only to make Pakistan affordable. May there be energy and development of the country.
Executive Director OGRA Imran Akhtar assured FPCCI Energy Committee convener Malik Khuda Baksh of his full cooperation and said that I am sure that the committee will provide effective suggestions to OGRA.?
