KARACHI: The Directorate General of Mines and Minerals Balochistan has granted Mari Mining Company (Pvt) Limited (MMC) two exploration licenses for mineral exploration in Chagai District, Balochistan.
In a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday, MMC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), announced that it has been awarded exploration licenses EL-322 and EL-323. These licenses cover areas of 501.03 square kilometers and 512.76 square kilometers, respectively.
Established by MPCL to spearhead mineral mining projects within Pakistan, MMC’s new licenses align with Mari’s strategy to expand its portfolio of mining ventures. The company reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the growth of Pakistan’s mineral mining sector, emphasizing the significance of these new exploration opportunities.
