Saudi delegation to visit Pakistan ahead of SCO meeting Agreements aim to bolster Pakistan-Saudi economic partnerships
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to sign agreements worth approximately $2 billion with a Saudi delegation visiting the country from October 9 to 11, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday. The delegation, led by Saudi Minister for Investment Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, will include representatives from both government agencies and the private sector, signaling enhanced economic cooperation between the two nations.
During a federal cabinet meeting, PM Shehbaz highlighted recent economic progress, crediting support from Saudi Arabia, China, and the UAE for securing the IMF bailout program. He also emphasized the importance of stability, criticizing recent PTI protests for disrupting the economy, with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb noting a daily loss of Rs190 billion due to unrest.
