ISLAMABAD: The International Engineering Alliance (IEA) is set to decide on Pakistan’s inclusion during its annual meeting in Mexico in June 2025.

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) recently hosted a review meeting at its headquarters, attended by representatives from three signatory countries of the International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA). Key PEC officials, including Registrar Dr. Nasir Muhammad Khan and heads of Registration, CPD, and Accreditation Departments, were present.

Dr. Khan delivered a comprehensive briefing to the review committee, which will continue its evaluation until mid-January 2025. Following the review, a final report with recommendations will be submitted to the IEA Governing Council for deliberation at its Mexico meeting.

The PEC’s representation in this global engineering platform reflects Pakistan’s efforts to align with international standards and enhance its engineering sector’s global recognition.
