Middle East Energy 2025 to Launch Battery and E-Mobility Sector, Driving Sustainable Transport Innovation

New-Project2

Dubai, UAE – January 13, 2025: Middle East Energy, the region’s leading energy event, is taking a bold step towards advancing sustainable transport by introducing a dedicated Battery and E-Mobility sector at its 49th edition. This initiative will debut the internationally renowned Battery Show brand in the Middle East, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from April 7–9, 2025.

This addition underscores the event’s commitment to positioning Dubai as a global leader in the energy transition. With a focus on the growing demand for energy storage solutions, electric vehicles (EVs), and infrastructure development, the show will be the largest in its history, occupying 16 exhibition halls and covering 37,000 sqm – a 19 percent increase from the previous edition.

“The Battery Show’s arrival in the region marks an important milestone, addressing the rapid adoption of clean energy and EV technologies,” said Mark Ring, Group Director, Energy Portfolio – MEA at Informa. “It is set to become a key platform for innovation, collaboration, and the future of energy storage and e-mobility.”

The new sector will explore advancements in energy storage, EV technology, and smart mobility solutions, at a time when the battery market in the Middle East and Africa is experiencing significant growth. The UAE alone has targeted that EVs will comprise 50 percent of vehicles on the road by 2050, further driving infrastructure development for charging networks and smart grid expansion.

Industry leaders such as Shenzhen Zetara Power, RePower Technology, Amara Raja Energy, and Mobility Limited, and Luminous Power Technologies are among the early exhibitors, showcasing cutting-edge technologies including solid-state batteries, AI-driven manufacturing, and smart charging solutions.

In addition, the inaugural three-day Battery Show Conference will feature expert-led discussions on battery design, technologies, manufacturing processes, and the role of electrification and policy support in driving green mobility. The conference will be a premier platform for sharing knowledge on manufacturing challenges, supply chain management, and AI’s role in fostering regional and global partnerships.

Middle East Energy 2025, held under the patronage of the UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, will feature more than 1,600 exhibitors from over 90 countries, attracting an estimated 40,000 energy professionals. The event will also include multiple high-level forums such as the Middle East Energy Leadership Summit, Intersolar & ees Middle East Conference, and Africa Business Leaders Forum.
