Ali Pervaiz Malik Assumes Office, Prioritizes Energy Sector’s Growth

Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has officially taken charge of his office. Upon his arrival at the ministry, Secretary Petroleum Momin Agha and other officials welcomed him.¹

To get briefed on the ministry’s departments and responsibilities, Malik chaired an important meeting. During the meeting, he reviewed key matters and issued strict instructions to ensure gas supply during Sehr and Iftar.

Officials informed the minister about the current oil and gas reserves, supply chain, and demand-supply projections. A detailed discussion was held on the ministry’s ongoing projects and future plans.

Malik emphasized that addressing the challenges facing the petroleum sector is a top priority. He noted that the energy sector is crucial, and all resources will be utilized to reduce the burden on the public. He also welcomed foreign investment in the petroleum and mineral sector, stating that an increase in local oil and gas production will provide relief to the public.
