Kuwait extended oil credit facility for two years, Ali Pervaiz Malik

Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik was called on by H.E Nassar Abdulrahman J Almutairi, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Pakistan at the Ministry of Petroleum in Islamabad. Ali Pervaiz Malik expressed gratitude for support of brotherly countries like Kuwait which has been pivotal for the structural reforms that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been successful to pull off.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador commended Pakistan’s significant economic progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, particularly in stabilizing the economy and improving the investment climate. He expressed confidence in Pakistan’s growth trajectory and reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to deepening economic and energy partnerships between the two nations.

Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik acknowledging the Kuwaiti support appreciated the special accommodation made for Pakistan. He mentioned Pakistan is very thankful for the credit facility extended for two years by Kuwait Petroleum. The relation between PSO and Kuwait Petroleum is progressing very well. He added that KUFPEC is already in the exploration sector and their interest in offshore exploration is welcomed.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral energy cooperation and exploring avenues for investment in Pakistan’s petroleum sector.

Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik thanked the Ambassador for Kuwait’s continued support and emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to fostering stronger ties with Gulf nations, particularly in energy and trade. He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has utmost love and appreciation for Kuwaiti brethren, Amir of Kuwait and Crown Prince.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to build on the unwavering relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait.
