Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Energy and Water Resource, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, performed the soft launching of the 3rd International Solar Clean Energy Conference-2023.
The AJK Minister appreciated that the organizer of the upcoming conference, the Energy Update, had been constantly organizing conferences and exhibitions to promote indigenous and renewable sources of energy abundantly available in the country.
He said the conferences being organized by Energy Update on hydroelectricity, wind, and solar power resource were a step ahead toward the energy independence of Pakistan.
Naeem Qureshi, Chairman of the organizing committee of the conference, said that the timing of the upcoming solar clean energy conference couldn’t be more suitable as it was being organized when the government had been desperately looking for reliable means for ensuring the least dependency on imported fossil fuels for electricity production.
He said the conference would be held to help the government in its drive to ensure maximum utilization of clean energy resources that are in abundance in every part of the country.
He said the upcoming conference was fully in line with the vision of the government to ensure that up to 30 percent of electricity in Pakistan was produced based on clean energy resources till 2030.
Mr. Qureshi said the conference would explore all the potential avenues for the maximum exploitation of solar energy resources for domestic and commercial consumers and also for utility-scale projects.
He said the conference would also discuss the option of indigenous production of equipment used in solar energy projects.
He said the conference would also showcase the latest technological innovations in the solar energy arena for the benefit of the end-consumers of the power sector.
He mentioned that the upcoming conference would be attended by all the concerned stakeholders and professionals associated with the solar and clean energy projects in Pakistan.
He said that these concerned experts would suggest the way forward for Pakistan in the clean energy sector.

آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے وزیر برائے توانائی و آبی وسائل چوہدری ارشد حسین نے تیسری بین الاقوامی سولر کلین انرجی کانفرنس اور نمائش 2023 کا سافٹ لانچ کیا۔آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے وزیر نے اس بات کو سراہا کہ آنے والی کانفرنس کے منتظم، انرجی اپ ڈیٹ، ملک میں وافر مقدار میں دستیاب توانائی کے مقامی اور قابل تجدید ذرائع کو فروغ دینے کے لیے مسلسل کانفرنسیں اور نمائشیں منعقد کر رہے ہیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ انرجی اپڈیٹ کے ذریعے پن بجلی، ہوا اور شمسی توانائی کے وسائل پر منعقد کی جانے والی کانفرنسیں پاکستان کی توانائی کی آزادی کی طرف ایک قدم آگے ہیں۔کانفرنس کی آرگنائزنگ کمیٹی کے چیئرمین نعیم قریشی نے کہا کہ آنے والی سولر کلین انرجی کانفرنس جون 2030 میں کراچی میں منعقد ہوگی جس کے لیے متبادل توانائی بورڈ حکومت پاکستان ،سولر انڈسٹری ایسوسی ایشن اور دیگر تنظیموں کا تعاون حاصل ہے ۔ اس کانفرنس اور نمائش میں پاکستان بھر سے اور دنیا کے مختلف ممالک سے مختلف نمایاں کمپنیوں کے اعلی حکام ماہرین سرمایہ کار صنعتی و تجارتی ایسوسی ایشن شریک ہوگی ۔انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ کانفرنس حکومت کی مدد کے لیے منعقد کی جائے گی تاکہ صاف توانائی کے وسائل کے زیادہ سے زیادہ استعمال کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے جو ملک کے ہر حصے میں وافر مقدار میں موجود ہیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ آنے والی کانفرنس حکومت کے اس وژن کے مطابق ہے کہ 2030 تک پاکستان میں 30 فیصد تک بجلی صاف توانائی کے وسائل پر پیدا کی جائے۔ قریشی نے کہا کہ یہ کانفرنس گھریلو اور تجارتی صارفین کے لیے شمسی توانائی کے وسائل کے زیادہ سے زیادہ استعمال اور افادیت کے پیمانے کے منصوبوں کے لیے تمام ممکنہ راستے تلاش کرے گی۔انہوں نے کہا کہ کانفرنس میں شمسی توانائی کے منصوبوں میں استعمال ہونے والے آلات کی مقامی پیداوار کے آپشن پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا جائے گا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ کانفرنس شمسی توانائی کے میدان میں جدید ترین تکنیکی ایجادات کو بھی پیش کرے گی ۔انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ متعلقہ ماہرین صاف توانائی کے شعبے میں پاکستان کے لیے آگے بڑھنے کا راستہ تجویز کریں گے۔
