This is apropos a story carried by Business Recorder on January 9, 2020 with the headline that ‘1 US$ will be equal to Rs 172 by year’s end’. According to Nepra, the headline apparently indicate that the regulator i.e., Nepra said that dollar will be equal to Rs 172 by December 2020 which is not the case.
A press issued by Nepra says that the true perspective is that the legal representative of 8 wind power projects during the course of public hearings held on January 8, 2020 made a passing comment that 1 US$ to go upto Rs 172 by the end of year.
