Representatives of all the stakeholders relevant to the promotion of renewable energy in Pakistan will attend the 3rd International Solar Clean Energy Conference & Expo being held here at a local hotel on July 18.
Sindh Energy Minister, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, will be the chief guest while Secretary of the provincial government’s Energy Department, Abu Bakar Ahmed, will be the guest of honour of the event being organized by the Energy Update and supported by Energy Department Sindh and Alternative Energy Development Board.
Important speakers of the conference include the chief of the Private Power Infrastructure Board, Shah Jahan Mirza, Project Director of Sindh Solar Energy Project Engineer Mehfooz Kazi, energy experts Irfan Ahmed and Zafar Subhani, CEO of Sindh Transmission & Dispatch Company Saleem Sheikh, Director ASURE NED University Dr Mohsin Aman, representatives of private sector companies Syed Salman Mohiuddin, Usman Waheed, Shoaib Asif Sipra, Farheen Irfan, Kamran Arshad Inam, Zakar Ali, Nabil Bari, Faaz Diwan and Irfan Allahwala.
Naeem Qureshi, head of the organizing committee of the event, said the conference was being held for the past three years to assemble at a common platform all the concerned stakeholders from the government, public, and private sector entities fully committed to the cause of promoting renewable energy in Pakistan.
He hoped that the speakers would discuss in detail issues impeding the fast growth of solar energy options in Pakistan and also suggest possible solutions to these problems.
He said the deliberations and recommendations of the conference would be shared with all the relevant state and government authorities for their quick implementation for promoting clean and green energy in Pakistan.
He said that more such conferences would be held regularly to promote the renewable energy resources abundantly available in Pakistan. Companies participating in this conference and expo includes Goodwe, Diwan International, ACT Engineering, Wateen Energy, Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company, Albario Engineering, EFU General Insurance, Sungrow, Adaptive Technologies, Intersec, Mesol Solar, Li Power are included.
