CM Gandapur Urges Federal Government to Clear Hydel Power Profit Arrears for KP

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa emphasized the critical need for the federal government to settle the outstanding arrears in hydel power profits owed to the province. Addressing key priorities of his administration, he highlighted efforts to tackle the energy crisis and maintain law and order during a press conference.

Gandapur encouraged citizens to consider starting livestock businesses and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to providing free healthcare through the Sehat Sahulat Card. He also emphasized developmental initiatives for merged districts and announced plans for a people-centric budget.

Regarding recent heavy rains and resulting losses, Gandapur assured compensation and reiterated the call for the federal government to fulfill its financial obligations to KP. He emphasized reforms in education, particularly addressing teacher performance issues, and highlighted infrastructure projects like the Tank Zam dam.

The chief minister outlined plans for hydropower projects to support economic zones, emphasizing capacity building and anti-corruption efforts within government departments. He pledged strict action against corruption and announced forthcoming legislation to combat drug trafficking.

Gandapur urged government officials to uphold honesty in their duties, encouraged entrepreneurship over reliance on government jobs, and vowed legislative measures for drug-related crimes in the provincial assembly.
