Islamabad: Despite the propaganda spread by Western media against Gwadar International Airport, evidence of the airport’s success and operational efficiency has come to light. Local media has exposed the misinformation propagated by international outlets by presenting performance statistics of the airport.
From January 20, 2025, to February 26, 2025, a total of 42 flights operated from Gwadar Airport, including routes to Karachi and Muscat. On the Karachi route, 14 flights carried 542 passengers, while 7 flights to Muscat transported 299 passengers. In total, 1,537 passengers utilized the airport, a clear indication of Gwadar’s progress.
International media had claimed that Gwadar Airport, developed with China’s assistance, was non-operational and that the CPEC project had failed. However, the presented data has debunked these claims.
It is noteworthy that Indian media also picked up and broadcast the anti-Pakistan propaganda, which had no basis in reality. The success of Gwadar Airport has not only proven the propaganda false but has also highlighted the significance of the CPEC project.
The active performance of Gwadar Airport demonstrates that this project is not only successful but is also opening new doors for development in the region.
