By the grace of Almighty Allah, Mari Energies Limited (formerly Mari Petroleum Company Limited) is pleased to announce a significant third gas/condensate discovery at the Spinwam-1 exploratory well in the Hangu Formation within the Waziristan Block, located in North Waziristan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province.
This latest discovery follows the previous two hydrocarbon finds in the Samanasuk Formation and *Kawagarh Formation, announced on *February 25, 2025, and March 13, 2025, respectively.
The well test in the Hangu Formation has yielded 23.85 MMSCFD of gas and approximately 122 barrels per day of condensate on a *32/64” choke, with a *Well Head Flowing Pressure (WHFP) of 4,042 psig. Additional testing is ongoing in other targeted formations to further assess the well’s full potential.
Mari Energies Limited operates the Waziristan Block with a *55% working interest, in partnership with *Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) (35%) and Orient Petroleum Inc. (10%).
This discovery marks a major step forward in strengthening Pakistan’s energy security by expanding the domestic hydrocarbon resource base and reducing reliance on imports.
